Jesse Sykes & the Sweet Hereafter - Oh My Girl
She is so good! I discovered her during the Mojave 3 days - so way, way, way back, but I cannot remember, for the life of me, how I came across Jessie. Whether that record was out during the MySpace days, I really don't know. I can't remember that far back! But I love that album. I really love that album.

I never got to see her live. I was living in London, in Tooting, many, many years ago, and I'd managed to contact her online – maybe it was through MySpace? I don't know – and we had a little bit of chat and at that point, I was doing Mojave 3. And Jesse Sykes’ stuff, it’s got that country tinge and her voice is just phenomenal, just so, so beautiful. They played in London, and she was looking for places to stay with her band, and she was almost going to sleep on our lounge floor, except I came down with a terrible chest infection. And they were like, ‘It’s OK, but we won’t!’ So I still haven't met her! And I still didn't get to see them live, either. I did look recently, and she's on Instagram. And I think she might be doing some more music again now, but yeah – she’s just fabulous!
