Haim – Women In Music Pt. III

This is the one I'd save in a fire – I just love this record, I love the band, I love the girls. I went on tour with them, they had me support them. They're the nicest girls ever, they’re very kind and they really love English music and the UK scene because they broke here first, so they're really into working with British musicians. I think they're one of the hardest working bands in the industry, I'd argue that with anyone. I've loved seeing their journey in music. Danielle is one of the greatest songwriters of our generation, and I particularly love the songwriting and the production on this record.

I'm quite lucky in the fact that LA can be quite an isolating place if you don't know anyone, but I lived there knowing Rostam and got to the know the whole kind of scene, all the musicians and songwriters that worked on this record - there's just such a cool, laid back chilled, but really inventive kind of scene in LA right now. It was great going around and having a cup of tea with Ariel [Rechtshaid] and Danielle, during the making of the Euphoric when they were just down the road.
