Hudson Mohawke – Cry Sugar

I'm a big fan of Ross. I was about 18 when Hudson Mohawke first entered the scene, I guess it was like the post-dubstep era. I've been a fan of his ever since – I went to his first DJ set in London at Plastic People, and the first ever Boiler Room, which he was part of. And then when he did his collaboration with Lunice, TNGHT, I was there at every show. If you’ve ever been to Glasgow there’s this club called Sub Club, and Hudson Mohawke, Rusty, SOPHIE all came out of there. I would go up every now and then and every time I’d play a show in Glasgow I’d go to Sub Club and have these wild nights.

This album is so good, when it came out last year I played it constantly for months, especially the track ‘Come A Little Closer’. I think he's definitely in his own lane when it comes to electronic music - it’s hard to have such a definitive sound but not sound like anything else.
