Kathleen Hanna Reveals Memoir, ‘Rebel Girl: My Life As A Feminist Punk’

The new book will be published next year

Kathleen Hanna is releasing a memoir next year, titled Rebel Girl: My Life As A Feminist Punk.

The book, which will be published by HarperCollins imprint Ecco, will cover the Le Tigre and The Bikini Kill member’s story from childhood through to her college years in Olympia, Washington. Among topics touched on in the book, according to a press release, are her connections with her bandmates, her friendships with Kurt Cobain and Ian MacKaye, falling in love with Beastie Boys’ Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz, and her experience of living with Lyme disease.

Ecco will publish Rebel Girl: My Life As A Feminist Punk on May 14, 2024.
