Deena Abdelwahed has a new album on the way.
Spanning seven tracks, Jbal Rrsas was produced as part of Consortium Commissions, an initiative set up to showcase emerging artists from the Arab world, run by Brussels-based NGO Mophradat. None of the album’s tracks will be released ahead of release due to a desire to present the record as one whole project, but it will be debuted during special listening parties over the course of June in Berlin, Barcelona (during Primavera Sound) and Milan (during Terraforma). InFiné Music will release Jbal Rrsas on September 8, 2023.
