Joe Hisaishi, the long-time lead composer for Studio Ghibli, is releasing a collection of symphonic arrangements of his film scores.
Set for release through Deutsche Grammophon, A Symphonic Celebration takes in orchestral arrangments of Hisaishi’s scores for Ghibli films such as Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Howl’s Moving Castle, My Neighbour Totoro and Porco Rosso. Deutsche Grammophon will release A Symphonic Arrangement on June 30, 2023.
