Alva Noto has a new album on the way through his own NOTON label.
Titled Kinder Der Sonne, the 14-track record takes in music that the German producer, real name Carsten Nicolai, composed for a 2021 theatre piece, Komplizen, by Swiss writer and director Simon Stone. Nicolai’s compositions blend the electronics on which he has built his name with minimalist and classical references. You can listen to the record’s lead track, ‘Die Untergründigen’, above.
NOTON will release Kinder Der Sonne on May 5, 2023.
