Nkisi References Derek Jarman On New Record, ‘Avebury’

The two-track release takes inspiration from Jarman's 1973 film 'A Journey To Avebury'

Nkisi has released a new record, Avebury.

Out now, the record features two extended cuts by the UK producer that were commissioned for use in A Journey To Avebury, a video by filmmaker Stanley Schtinter, which is a shot-for-shot recreation of Derek Jarman’s 1973 film of the same name. Originally a silent film, Jarman’s version was later given a soundtrack by Coil after his death, which Nkisi also references on her new vinyl-only release. You can listen to clips of the two cuts just below.

Avebury is out now on purge.xxx.
