Richard Skelton has a new album on the way for Phantom Limb.

Spanning eight tracks, selenodesy was recorded in the watchlands around the Kielder Observatory, and sees Skelton explore his newfound love of electronics and synths. You can listen to ‘faint ray systems’, lifted from the album, above.

In a statement about the new record, Skelton said: "Much of this music came to me in the early hours, in that nowhere state between dreaming and waking. I’d look out the window and the night sky would be swirling with stars. Mars or Venus would be hovering in the corner of the room. I’d lie there and watch the Aurora Borealis dance across the ceiling."

Phantom Limb will release selenodesy on March 31, 2023.
