Actress has a new EP on the way.
Spanning four tracks, Dummy Corporation is Actress’ first full release since 2020 album Karma & Desire, and follows a recent collaboration with Mount Kimbie’s Kai Campos, called ‘AZD SURF’. The title track from the new EP spans 19 minutes, while lead track ‘Dream’, which you can listen to above, takes in influences from the techno of Detroit.
In a statement about the new EP, Actress, real name Darren Cunningham, said: "The overall idea is for this to be a demonstration of the process and the philosophical action art of creating modern day electronic music. I create these sketches, essentially like the fabrics, and I collage them together… once I see the picture, it’s embellished further and the process repeats."
Ninja Tune will release Dummy Corporation on November 11, 2022.
