Various Artists – Performance OST

The Stones are on this of course. I've always been a big Keith Richards fan, the guitar, the drugs, the sex, the look. The look has always affected me, I remember seeing a photo of Led Zeppelin at Bath and they all wore those sports jackets, corduroy shirts and fishing hats, I thought that was great. Without being a copy I would get into the style. Performance is a beautiful music film, I saw it aged 17 on a late-night double bill with THX 1138 (the George Lucas film) at Screen On The Green and there were queues down Upper Street. It the perfect age to see it. I didn't understand either film but I adored them both and it was life-changing. It hadn't occurred to me to be a musician, that came later. Performance wasn't a cautionary tale for me no – I just wanted to get into a bath with anybody, it didn't matter, I just wanted to go there.
