Jeri-Jeri - 800% Ndagga

They come from Senegal mainly, a drum collective playing a type of music called mbalax, it’s traditional Senagelese music played with modern instruments. They play a very hypnotic set with a lot of repetition, lots of repetitive things, with multiple rhythms at the same time. When they tour in France they go and play in the community, not just concert venues, and they will sometimes play for five or six hours. All the players can play everything, so they can switch instruments. It’s trance-like.
