Dekmantel has unveiled the full lineup for its 2022 edition this August.
The Amsterdam festival will return this summer for the first time since 2019, following two consecutive cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event will once again be split across two parts, covering a live music programme within the aan ‘t IJ complex of Amsterdam Noord on the first two days of the festival, and a wider music lineup at the Amsterdamse Bos across the following three days.
Among those who will play across the first two days of the festival, as part of the aan ‘t IJ programme, are Space Afrika, Squarepusher, Tirzah, Erika de Casier, Ana Roxanne, Loraine James, Gaussian Curve, Hermeto Pascoal, KMRU, Perila, James Holden & Wacław Zimpel, Mary Lattimore, and upsammy, who will appear live alongside Dutch visual artist Sjoerd Martens. Eris Drew will also debut a brand new live show, while John Beltran will present a specially commissioned performance called Ten Days Of Blue. They will all play across five venues: Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ, Bimhuis, Shelter, Parallel (formerly known as Tolhuistuin) and Eye Filmmuseum.
At Amsterdamse Bos, the festival will host DJ sets from Helena Hauff, DJ Stingray 313, Joy Orbison, Batu, Josey Rebelle, SHERELLE, Lee Gamble, Anz, LSDXOXO, Call Super, Channel One Sound System, Evian Christ, VTSS, UNiiQU3, Yu Su, and Lena Willikens & Vladimir Ivkovic, among others. Hessle Audio founders Ben UFO, Pangaea and Pearson Sound will also mark 15 years of the label with a back-to-back set, while Berlin collective Herrensauna’s SPFDJ, Héctor Oaks, CEM and MCMLXXXV will team up to play together too.
There are also live sets scheduled at Amsterdamse Bos from Robert Hood, Marcel Dettmann, Overmono, MC Yallah & Debmaster, Kittin & The Hacker, Jon Hopkins, Giant Swan, Altın Gün, Karenn, Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 (with Yasiin Bey), and Nihiloxica, among others.
Details of an afterparty programme, to run alongside the festival, will be revealed in the coming months, in addition to a series of talks, panels and radio shows that will run across the opening two days. Pre-sale tickets for the weekend will go live this Thursday (March 24) from 10am GMT, with the general sale following 24 hours later.
