Optimo Launch New UK Festival, Watching Trees

The event, which will take place near the Forest of Dean, will celebrate 25 years of the DJ duo

Optimo, the DJ duo of JD Twitch and JG Wilkes, are teaming up with music publication Ransom Note to stage a brand new music festival, Watching Trees, this summer.

The first edition of the festival is scheduled to take place in September "in the backwoods of the Forest of Dean" in Gloucestershire, and will have a capacity of 500 people. Music will be spread across three days and two stages. The lineup is yet to be announced, but the event will see Optimo celebrate 25 years together as a DJ duo. "We seek to replicate the original energy and fun of the early Optimo parties, the feeling of the first time we danced outdoors in woodlands and open fields and enjoyed the freedom of getting to know the person next to us," reads a note on the festival’s website.

Watching Trees will take place from September 2 to 4, 2022. Find more information here.
