Sandro Perri – Impossible Spaces

Sandro Perri is another amazing musician in my community. I love all of his records, but particularly this one. He's another influence on how I write and think about lyrics. He’s similar to Bill Callahan and Jennifer Castle in the way he talks about ideas and uses pragmatic poetry and details within philosophical frameworks.

When Impossible Spaces came out it was so exciting. Musically, it was so distinctive. I remember being really happy seeing it exist out in the world and thinking about how it had come from someone in my community. How they had made something so brilliantly vast and complicated and ambitious. Every time I listen to the song ‘Wolfman’, my mind is still blown after all these years of loving it.
