London Club The Cause To Stage UK Seaside Festival

The team behind the Tottenham venue, which closed on New Year's Day, are taking over Pontins Camber Sands Holiday Park this May

Defunct London club The Cause is staging its first festival this May in the form of a seaside weekend at Pontins Camber Sands Holiday Park,

The three-day event, taking place in May and dubbed The Cause Seaside Beano, will see the team behind The Cause collaborate with a number of promoters and collectives that regularly held events at the former Tottenham venue. Among them are Lobster Theremin, Keep Hush and queer collective Adonis.

The music will be split across six areas at Pontins, which is based on the south coast of England, around two hours away from London. The site, in true holiday park fashion, includes facilities such as crazy golf, while there will also be pool parties. The full lineup, as well as other stage and curation partners, will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Cause closed at its Tottenham base on New Year’s Day, citing ongoing property development in the surrounding area as the reason for its closure. The door was left open, however, for a return at another site if a suitable one was secured.

The Cause Seaside Beano will take place from May 20 to 23, 2022. Find more information here.
