Loraine James Reveals New Ambient Alias, Whatever The Weather

The first release from her new project is an album for Ghostly International

Loraine James has a new album on the way under a new alias, Whatever The Weather.

Spanning 11 tracks, the self-titled album sees the artist focus on ambient music, as well as keyboard improvisation. The album is James’ first under a different name and marks her debut for Ghostly International. You can watch a video for lead cut ’17°C’ above.

The new album follows last year’s Reflection LP, released under James’ own name via Hyperdub, which placed highly among tQ’s favourite albums of 2021.

Ghostly International will release Whatever The Weather on April 8, 2022.
