Alva Noto has shared details of a new series of albums on NOTON, called HYbr:ID.
Kicking off with HYbr:ID Vol. 1, the series will focus solely on Alva Noto’s own works, which see him explore various compositional methods. The music on the series’ first instalment was originally composed for a dance performance piece called Oval, which was directed by Richard Siegal, and performed by the Staatsballett Berlin at the Berlin State Opera in 2019. NOTON will release HYbr:ID Vol. 1 on November 12, 2021.
