Flying Lotus - Los Angeles

Someone passed me a tape when this came out. I’m always kind of on the fringes of what is mainstream, trying to listen to something new and different. Someone says ‘check this guy Flying Lotus’ and that album was like, ‘What? Really? You can do that?’ I need that moment, I need to be blown away, I need to be moved. I need to feel like there is a cultural shift being charted and that I want to be a part of that story, to share in the wonder of that unique new communication. I get evangelical about things that do that to me, I immediately just wanted to introduce Flying Lotus to all my community. I can’t get enough of what he does. Music provides you with these moments of revelation and revolutions - it’s good nourishment, good food, good energy, really creative on a whole ‘nother level.
