Aaron Dilloway and Lucrecia Dalt have revealed details of a new collaborative album together, Lucy & Aaron.
Due out in July, the album came about after Dalt toured with Dilloway in the US. "The first show we played together was in Toronto, he started with a very groovy loop, some kind of soul extract that felt just right," Dalt says. "I have never seen such an elegant, disturbing and powerful show at the same time, it was a wild combination."
They ultimately paired up, recording the new album between Pioneer Works studio in Brooklyn, Dalt’s home in Berlin and Dilloway’s home in Oberlin, Ohio. The release will be issued by Dilloway’s own Hanson Records, and you can check out one track from the album, ‘Demands Of Ordinary Devotion’, above.
Lucy & Aaron follows on from a number of other releases by the pair in recent years, namely 2019 tape Dragon Loops and 2020’s digital-only Field Recordings In The Forest Of Colombia.
Hanson Records will release Lucy & Aaron on July 13, 2021.
