Foodman Unveils New Album For Hyperdub, ‘Yasuragi Land’

The album's title translates from Japanese as "tranquility land"

Hyperdub is releasing a new album by Foodman.

Out in July, Yasuragi Land takes in 15 tracks. Inspired by the artist’s visits to Japan’s roadside stations and public baths, the album’s title translates from Japanese as "tranquility land." You can watch a video for lead track ‘Hoshikuzu Tenboudai’ above.

Speaking about the stations and public baths, Foodman says: "When I go to these places, I’m able to enjoy the atmosphere. I wanted to create an honest album that combines the sound of guitar and percussion with the sense of peace and community I feel in here amidst the uncertainty of the future. Yasuragi Land is that place of tranquillity."

Hyperdub will release Yasuragi Land on July 9, 2021.
