Melodies International, the reissue label run by Floating Points and Mafalda, is enlisting a number of DJs and producers to curate compilation EPs for a new release series called Melodies Record Club.
Kicking off the series is Four Tet, whose EP includes two ’70s jazz tracks that he used to regularly play at London’s now closed Plastic People club. The second edition will be curated by Ben UFO and follow in the coming months. After that, there will be instalments from Daphni, Josey Rebelle, Gilles Peterson, Hunee, and from label founders Mafalda and Floating Points. You can check out snippets of the two tracks from Four Tet’s release via the Melodies International website.
Melodies International will release Melodies Record Club #001: Four Tet Selects on May 7, 2021.
