Fugazi – Instrument Soundtrack
This is a band I always admired and loved, and I caught them in Stockholm – maybe in 2000. I love the drumming of Brendan Canty – the energy and the tunes, the taste. The sound, the pattern, the style was coming from the DC hardcore scene with Discord and stuff, but I found them really delicate, really feminine in a way. I never found Fugazi that macho, even if they had that sort of attitude and energy.

Can you tell me about that show?

I flew to Stockholm to see them – I still have some beautiful pictures I took at the gig – but mostly all I remember is that someone landed on me. This guy just jumped on stage then jumped straight back and landed on me – there was ten minutes where Ian MacKaye stopped the show and was like ‘Who's that cunt!? We do not do that shit here!’ I was in the front row.
