Deerhoof – Milk Man
The singer from Deerhoof has been my flatmate in London for a year and a half. I was a fan of Deerhoof, then a mutual friend knew she was looking for a place in London. I had a spare room in my flat, so I rented it to her. She is like my sister, we are really close friends.

Greg Saunier's drumming is amazing. We opened for Deerhoof in New York and it was so much fun. Greg had the biggest hi-hat I’ve ever seen – he uses two 18" crashes, and I always use two small 6" bells, so we had this adventure in scale, it was really funny! But that is a fantastic band with an incredible sound. He was joking with me that he wouldn’t know what a paradiddle is – he's not technically trained in a conventional way, but is in a class on his own. I think that band is like an opera.
