Eric Satie – Trois Gymnopédies
I don't listen to much classical music. I feel I've probably neglected it, to my own loss – but again, I don't have time. If I'm listening to some old piece of music, I'm not listening to something new, and there are only 24 hours in a day.

I don't know much about Eric Satie, other than he was French, and quite eccentric. Apparently he used to play two pianos, one on top of the other. I think I might have discovered him through Robert Fripp – a fantastic musician who I really respect.
'Trois Gymnopédies' is a very haunting, very beautiful piece of music. It's so peaceful, and such a contrast to the dance music, and all the rest of the stuff that appears in this list.
