Madlib To Release New Solo Album, ‘Sound Ancestors’

The LP is arranged by Four Tet

Madlib is releasing a new solo album next month.

Titled Sound Ancestors, the instrumental album is arranged by Four Tet, who first teased the album in online comments last month. You can listen to lead track ‘Road Of The Lonely Ones’ above.

"We decided to work on this together with him sending me tracks, loops, ideas and experiments that I would arrange, edit, manipulate and combine," Four Tet says. The two producers sent material back and forth over "a couple of years" in order to put together the record.

Madlib Invazion will release Sound Ancestors in January.
