The Notorious B.I.G - Ready To Die
You’ve got to be a super young buck or a super old buck if you don’t know about Biggie or Tupac. This was part of my growth. I used to do a lot of listening before writing and it was a lot of hip-hop I was listening to along with bashment and reggae, and Biggie Smalls is one of the leaders for my generation: 96 to 95. He was the guy who had the limelight at these times. So yeah man, Biggie, definitely one of my top five ever. I was like thirteen or fourteen when Ready To Die came out - it was the coolest stuff you listen to at that age. Them times there, what your mum and dad are listening to is cool, but it’s some OG stuff.
