Nirvana - Nevermind
Somehow I got into rock music from young. It started off I reckon with like Guns N’ Roses and Iron Maiden. I got into that heavily, but then I can’t remember how I got into Nirvana. I’m sure it was someone on the estate again. I got a lot of music from people that were just around. They were into different things. You had a few dudes that were into heavy metal and rock and then you had dudes who were into jungle or rap or pop, indie or whatever. I think I might’ve got into Nirvana because of MTV and what I loved about it was my first time seeing moshpits and people just going mad and smashing guitars. It just appealed to me, I think because it was so destructive. I think that’s why I liked it. But then when I actually heard the music, it’s slyly got soul. It’s a different kind of soul, not like Marvin Gaye soul, but it’s like euphoric and it’s got spirit in it. Even though half the shit I didn’t know what the fuck he was on about.
