A new feature-length film about Delia Derbyshire is set to premiere online next week as part of the BFI London Film Festival.

Delia Derbyshire: The Myths And The Legendary Tapes is a 98-minute film about the life, work and legacy of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop member and electronic music pioneer. The film, which mixes archival footage and interviews with dramatisations, is the work of Caroline Catz, who makes her directorial debut and also stars in it.

Cosey Fanni Tutti has been enlisted to create the soundtrack using samples from Derbyshire’s posthumously discovered Attic Tapes. The film will premiere on the BFI website on October 15 at 6.30pm BST, and will be available for streaming until the evening of October 18. You can watch a trailer for the documentary above.
