Berlin Gets New Club, Revier Südost

The new venue, which partially opened last weekend, is a project from the team behind Griessmuehle, which closed earlier this year

A new venue, Revier Südost, has opened at the former Bärenquell brewery in the Niederschöneweide area of Berlin.

The space is a new venture from the team behind Griessmuehle, the Berlin club that closed down earlier this year. The outdoor section of the new venue, dubbed Baergarten, opened to the public last weekend, and doors for that part of the space will open daily from 2pm for the foreseeable future. It’s unclear when the rest of the venue will be able to open due to current COVID-19 restrictions in Berlin, which forbid indoor dancing. You can keep up with Revier Südost’s future plans here.

The original Griessmuehle opened in 2011 on the site of a former pasta factory. The team behind the venue were forced out of the space by its owners, SIAG Property II GmbH, in February however. Before its closure, it had been a regular home to much-loved Berlin parties such as Mother’s Finest, REEF and Cocktail d’Amore.
