Berlin queer collective Herrensauna is launching a record label.
The label’s first release is a four-track various artists EP that takes in tracks from Peder Mannerfelt & Pär Grindvik as Aasthma, Solid Blake & Ctrls as Historical Repeater, Sugar, and Cadency, AKA Herrensauna resident Héctor Oaks. Herrensauna was founded as a club night and collective five years ago, pushing experimental and heavy techno within Berlin’s queer underground club landscape. Tresor is now the club night’s monthly home, with residents SPFDJ, Héctor Oaks and co-founders CEM and MCMLXXXV playing alongside guests at each edition.
Berlin-via-Porto multidisciplinary artist Mauro Ventura will oversee artwork for each release on the label.
Herrensauna will release V/A Vol. 1 on October 2, 2020.
