New Musik - From A to B
I’m a huge Tony Mansfield fan. I really like the song ‘Straight Lines’ which sounds like a Nick Straker Band song - but Tony Mansfield co-produced it. I heard about New Musik through the Nick Straker Band essentially. When I got the request to do this Bakers Dozen I was trying to think of full records and From A to B and that was the first one that sprung to mind. I like the combination of great songwriting and dance music. There’s a lot of songcraft there, not that dance music doesn't have that, but here it’s a lot poppier. I like the hooks and the production a lot and there are all these weird pre-digital effects.
