Next Friday (June 12), Manic Street Preachers will reissue their 1993 album Gold Against The Soul.

The deluxe edition box set of the reissue is set to take in – amongst unreleased demos, B-sides from the era and remixes – a 120-page book featuring unseen images from the band's long-time photographic collaborator Mitch Ikeda, many of them personally annotated by Nicky Wire.

Presented exclusively in a gallery below are eight of those images of the band captured in the early '90s, around the time of the release of Gold Against The Soul, which was the Manics' second album. Scroll down to the image below to begin looking through the photos.

Speaking earlier this year when the album's reissue was initially announced, Nicky Wire said that plans to re-release the album came about a few years ago when the band moved their studio and unearthed a number of demos and pictures from the Gold Against The Soul.

"We haven't always been the most complementary about this album in the past, but with hindsight it was a strange and curious record with many fans' favourites on it," he said. "James always gets a huge response when he teases the riff to 'Sleepflower' live."

Columbia/Sony will reissue Gold Against The Soul on June 12. You can find full details and tracklist here.
