Alva Noto Shares New Track, ‘Xerrox Voyage’

It's the first cut to be revealed from the upcoming fourth instalment of his 'Xerrox' series

Alva Noto has shared a new track called ‘Xerrox Voyage’.

The track is the first to be unveiled from the Noton label boss’ forthcoming album, Xerrox Vol. 4. The producer, real name Carsten Nicolai, launched the Xerrox series in 2007 and says he finished the latest instalment in late February.

"Xerrox Vol. 4 is an extension of the Vol. 3," says Nicolai. "There are similar references, and the initial idea of creating a soundtrack for an imaginary film has remained."

Nicolai released the previous instalment in the Xerrox series in 2015. A fifth edition is due to be released in the future, though details of when have not yet been confirmed.

Noton will release Xerrox Vol. 4 on June 19.

The new album follows on from the release of Nicolai’s Robert Smith-approved cover of The Cure’s ‘A Forest’ last month.
