GNOD and João Pais Filipe have a new collaborative album on the way.

Lined up for release jointly via Rocket Recordings and Lovers and Lollipops, the album, which is titled Faca De Fogo, came about after the two acts first met up at Milhões De Festa in Barcelos. GNOD were initially intrigued by a gong that João had made in the shape of a skateboard which formed part of an exhibition.

Having been introduced, a plan was subsequently made for them to work together with GNOD soon travelling to spend a week in Porto. Three days of rehearsals led to the basic structures of a clutch of material that was further hashed out during a live show in the city and later committed to record over four days in João’s metal workshop with minimal overdubbing.

Rocket Recordings will release Faca De Fogo on July 3, 2020.
