The pair's first collaborative full-length release was recorded live in a studio

Moor X Jewelry, the project of Moor Mother and Mental Jewelry, have reconvened for their first full-length album together.

Titled True Opera, the 10-track effort was recorded by the pair live in a studio and follows on from 2017's Crime Waves EP. Moor Mother performs guitar and vocals on the record, while Mental Jewelry takes on drums and bass duties. You can hear lead track 'Look Alive' above.

"We grew up going to punk shows and playing in punk bands," Mental Jewelry says, explaining the pair's decision to fully record the album live. "We missed the energy of playing instruments live together. On a computer everything is accounted for. This has all of the imperfections and flubs—it's more of a direct conduit."

True Opera is out now via Don Giovanni Records.
