Piglet, the new solo project of South London-based group Great Dad's vocalist Charlie, has shared a new track called 'Building Site Outside. You can hear it above.

It's the first taste of the first EP, titled Alex's Birthday, from the DIY artist's new project, which will arrive via new South London label Double Dare, an imprint that has grown out of the live gigs of the same name held frequently at Deptford record shop and music venue Sister Midnight.

"These songs were written over the last couple years, and have been through a few different versions," Charlie says of the five-track EP. "I made these recordings in September 2019 (with vocals from Caitlin on new song 'Car Song' - thanks Caitlin) .

"The songs vary in their subject matter, but in a broad sense they are about making sense of your place in the world as a trans person and my love for my friends, family and the NHS (thanks all of ya)."

Double Dare will release Alex's Birthday digitally and as a cassette on February 14. There will be a launch party at Deptford's Sister Midnight that same night, for which you can find details here. Find more information on the release via Bandcamp here.
