PREMIERE: An Trinse Remixes Il Santo Bevitore

The Northern Irish, London-based producer puts an abstract spin on the Sardinian Londoner's doom-laden drum workout

An Trinse, the project of Stephen McLaughlin, has teamed up with Nicola Berra, AKA Il Santo Bevitore, for a new split release which will be released via the former’s eponymous label.

Premiering above is a head-spinning, suitably abstract video made by McLaughlin to accompany his remix of Berra’s track, ‘Interferenze possibili’. The original and remix both feature on the three-track EP alongside an original track by McLaughlin.

On the remix, McLaughlin spins Berra’s intense drum-focused sounds into a dark, glitched-out wall of noise, which eventually give way to a serene bed of synths in the track’s very final moments.

The pair met through Berra’s work on the Dronica series of events and, as a press release explains, "the more they talked on their motivations they noticed similarities in their use of personal mythology and history as a source of inspiration."

An Trinse and Il Santo Bevitore will release their self-titled EP on January 28. You can find more information here .
