The group are encouraging fans to make their own versions of tracks from 1978 album 'The Feeding of the Five Thousand'

With Christmas approaching, Crass have shared a special gift with their fans in the form of the full original track stems for all 16 songs on their 1978 album, The Feeding of the Five Thousand.

All of the stems are available for free download, "separated to the premix state of the original sixteen track recording; naked, raw and uncooked," in the words of Crass' Penny Rimbaud.

"Now's your chance to download the original tracks, do the remix of your dreams and tell it as it is; the message is DIY like it never was before," Rimbaud says, adding that people can send their finished mixes to Crass Records with the most suitable being selected for a 12" vinyl pressing with the current working title of More Tea, Vicar?. "All profits will be donated to charities of choice," they add.

You can download the stems and submit your mixes here.

Earlier this year, Crass gave away a free album for April Fool's.
