Rewire has confirmed the first wave of acts playing its 10th edition next year.
Following a theme of ‘(Re)setting’, the festival, which takes place in The Hague, will host The Caretaker and visual artist Weirdcore, who will team up again for a live show following on from their debut collaboration at last month’s Unsound.
Jon Hopkins will present his new live show, ‘Polarity’, for the first time in The Netherlands while Icelandic composer Hildur Guðnadóttir will play music from the hit TV series Chernobyl. Her performance will see her present processed recordings captured from Ignalina (the decommissioned power plant in Lithuania where the series was filmed) and live vocal orchestrations at the Electriciteitsfabriek, a working power station in the centre of the Hague. She’ll be joined by wildlife recordist Chris Watson and sound artist Sam Slater for the show.
Also scheduled to play live are HTRK, Anna Meredith, Lorenzo Senni, Loraine James, Gabber Modus Operandi, Pelada, Hiro Kone, Cucina Povera, Ian William Craig and Katie Gately.
Rewire takes place from April 3-5, 2020 across multiple venues around the Hague. For tickets and more information, head here. More acts will be added to the line-up in the coming months.
