Baxter Dury has announced his new single 'Slumlord', plus details of his next LP 'The Night Chancers' and a UK and Europe tour

After his acclaimed 2017 LP Prince Of Tears, his mini-album B.E.D. with Etienne De Crécy and Delilah Holiday, and a feature spot on Fat White Family's Serfs Up! earlier this summer, Baxter Dury has announced his solo return.

His new single, 'Slumlord' can be seen above, complete with video directed by Tom Haines.

The sleazy new track will appear on Dury's new album The Night Chancers, out March 20 via Heavenly Records. The tracklisting is as follows:

  1. I'm Not Your Dog
  2. Slumlord
  3. Salvia Hog
  4. Samurai
  5. Sleep People
  6. Carla's Got A New Boyfriend
  7. The Night Chancers
  8. Hello, I'm Sorry
  9. Daylight
  10. Say Nothing

“Night Chancers is about being caught out in your attempt at being free”, says Dury. "It’s about someone leaving a hotel room at three in the morning. You’re in a posh room with big Roman taps and all that, but after they go suddenly all you can hear is the taps dripping, and all you can see the debris of the night is around you. Then suddenly a massive party erupts, in the room next door. This happened to me and all I Could hear was the night chancer, the hotel ravers”.

The new record will be supported by a string of British and European tour dates, which are as follows.
