The next phase of Throbbing Gristle reissues will arrive in December with the re-release of three records on CD, digital formats and limited edition vinyl.
This collection of reissues will cover the period around Chris Carter, Peter Christopherson, Genesis P-Orridge and Cosey Fanni Tutti’s reformation in 2004, 23 years after they originally ended the project. Between 2004 and 2007, the band released 14 new studio tracks and a live album of their appearance at ATP’s Nightmare Before Christmas in Camber Sands. From that live album, you can hear ‘Fed Up’ above.
One of the reissues, TG Now, was originally released in 2004 and featured the first material by the group since reforming. The four-track limited vinyl and CD release was available originally to attendees of the RE-TG Astoria event in 2004, their first performance together since 1981’s US tour.
Part Two: The Endless Not originally came out in 2007, 25 years after their last studio album together, and featured further material from the group’s return to the studio after their initial post-reformation live performances.
A Souvenir of Camber Sands is a live recording of the group’s ATP Nightmare Before Christmas performance at Camber Sands in December 2004, recorded by Live Here Now and originally available immediately at the show. As part of this latest phase of reissues, it will be available for the first time on vinyl in a limited edition clear vinyl set with poster, and will also be made available on double CD and digitally.
TG Now and Part Two: The Endless Not will both be packaged together as a limited edition triple clear vinyl and poster box set, as well as on double CD and digitally.
All three reissues will be made available on December 13 via Mute.
