Morrissey Removes Anti-Far-Right Protester From Gig Audience

Morrissey's apparent appreciation of the far-right is no secret by now with the former Smiths frontman having made increasingly virulent statements on race and religion in recent years.

As The Fader reports, he's currently on tour in the US and one concertgoer attending his show at Portland's Moda Center on Monday (September 30) decided to make an act of protest against his views. A woman held up two signs during the show: one of which condemned the logo of the anti-Islam organisation For Britain, while another simply read "BIGMOUTH INDEED".

Upon spotting the protester and her signs, Morrissey began to insist that she leave the concert while a number of his fans in the crowd also turned on her. "Go, go, go, go, go, go," he tells her in a video capturing the moment which you can view above. "We don't need you. We don't need you. Goodbye."

The woman eventually left the gig and took a bow as she did so.

Among Morrissey's recent disturbing moves are his assertion that he isn't racist because "everyone ultimately prefers their own race" and his decision to share a YouTube video in which some men criticise Stormzy, using the headline "Nothing But Blue Skies For Stormzy… The Gallows For Morrissey," in the wake of the rapper's Glastonbury headline set over the summer.
