Massive Attack are set to release Mad Professor’s dub version of their third album, Mezzanine.
The dub producer made the alternate versions of the album’s tracks around its original 1998 release, but only a handful saw release as B-sides. He made eight edits in total, and all will see release on the album which is titled Massive Attack Vs Mad Professor Part II (Mezzanine Remix Tapes). ‘Inertia Creeps’, ‘Teardrop’ and ‘Angel’ are amongst the tracks given the rework treatment.
UMC / Virgin EMI will release Massive Attack Vs Mad Professor Part II (Mezzanine Remix Tapes) on September 23. You can hear Mad Professor’s version of ‘Angel’ above.
