WATCH: International Teachers Of Pop Video And More!

ITOP are back with a new video for 'Love Girl', two remixes, news about their second album, *and* a brand new London headline show. Ooft!

International Teachers Of Pop, the Sheffield group consisting of pop masterminds Leonore Wheatley, Adrian Flanagan, Dean Honer and Katie Mason, have revealed a brand new video.

The footage for ‘Love Girl’, from their acclaimed self-titled debut album, is above. Also revealed are two remixes by The Orielles and Crooked Man (below) plus a new London headline show and details about album number two (even further below).

After honing their live shows into something truly unmissable, ITOP will be playing The Lexington in London on October 12. Tickets can be found here and are available now.

Frontwoman Wheatley, who with Mason spends the video mooching and marauding around the corner shops and underpasses of Stretford and Chorlton says: "From bathroom to stage. Take a small trip with us as we do our Saturday errands before a very important showbiz happening. Where do we get our dance moves from? Who are the love Troupe? And most importantly , how do we get our hands on the elusive flashing ‘Love Rings’ ? All will be revealed!"

Flanagan adds: "I’m playing this ‘dealer character’ throughout the video which came really easy to me as when I was a school kid growing up in Salford I used to sell bits of clay from the banks of the river Irwell and bags of oregano to my school mates to furnish myself with some extra cash. It’s amazing how many kids said they got ‘off their heads’ on what I was selling them, sometimes they even bought off me again!

"One of the places we filmed was in Morrissey’s old local record shop in Stretford Arndale , I gave myself the most ‘half arsed sarcastic Morrissey Quiff’ and acted the part of a record shop assistant. I think it’s the first time ever I’ve willingly had my head/hair out on film. My acting is so moving and award winning that they had to make my scenes tiny on the screen (and in their own boxes) to encourage the viewer to get rid of their phones and install an IMAX screen on the side of their house so to be able to truly immerse themselves in my deep, gut wrenching, acting skills!!!

As for the fourth ITOP member, Flanagan explains: "Dean Honer is so entrancing in the video that they could only use 2 blinks worth of footage of him for worry of mass pregnancies in the 4 shires of Great Britain. I don’t think the girls in the group are trying to tell us that it’s all about them?!"

As for that much-anticipated second album, Flanagan has revealed: "It’s a lot darker, like a steamroller pop version of early period Warp, bleepy, bassy, dubby, basement music! We did a really ace collab for it a few weeks back with Jason Williamson from the Sleaford Mods -which is sounding fucking wicked! Honestly – everyone else may as well climb up a tree with their little poncey mandolins – ITOP are setting their synthesisers to stun!"
