Harold Budd & Brain Eno - Ambient Two
Eno would have cropped up more but I took him out, it'd have been too fucking much. It's another one from hiding in Simon's closet, as it were. It's another one we'd listen to, and I still can't get enough of it. At this time of year, with all the families travelling - obviously I'm not against families, I've got my own and a grandchild - but when you're packed into a metal tube with loads of screaming kids I put on the noise cancelling headphones and this record, and it really does calm me down. These albums are things that have travelled with me for decades. Some of them get you going, some of them make you realise, without being too corny, they make you realise the journey you've travelled. I just love this.
