Rocket Recordings has confirmed details of the debut album from Petbrick, a new project comprised of Big Lad’s Wayne Adams and Iggor Cavalera from Sepultura. Above, you can hear the lead track for the album, ‘Horse’.
The album, titled I, and project came about after Iggor – who now lives in London – caught a Big Lad show at Camden Underworld. Impressed by what he saw, he got in touch with Wayne over email and the pair continued to speak and swap files of material before eventually getting together in the studio.
"We wanted to do something different than the other projects we were involved in," says Iggor. "Making horrible noise was the first concept behind Petbrick."
Wayne continues: "I think we realised that we were both pretty much in tune with each other’s taste, both into a lot of weird electronic music, as well as some decent far-out guitar stuff. For me personally, I definitely pushed the electronics in a much harsher direction."
A number of collaborators make guest vocal turns on the album, including Full Of Hell’s Dylan Walker, Mutado Pintado of Warmduscher and Dwid Hellion of Integrity.
Rocket Recordings will release I on October 25. You can pre-order it here. The album will be released in the US through Closed Casket Activities.
