'There's A Light' precedes a forthcoming album from the Norwegian guitarist

Norway's Stian Westerhus has shared a new track titled 'There's A Light'. You can hear it above.

The track is the first taste of a forthcoming album from the Norwegian guitarist which is set to be released via London label House of Mythology.

"Personally, this album is about looking back, alone, on what led to [2016 album] Amputation, Westerhus says of the upcoming project. "I had forgotten these songs. I wrote them partly for others when asked to compose for orchestras and festivals, and I played them and I sang them, and I forgot them as the storm calmed and night fell. And just as I am damn sure I will be a haunted man again, these songs, these pieces, they came back and found me.

"This album is about taking back what's mine, and to some extent, changing the past. If anything, to be able to remember, and tell my own story."

Full details of the new album, which is his second solo record, are due to be announced soon. House of Mythology has also promised news from label artists Zu, Current 93, Ulver, Teleplasmiste and more in the near future. You can purchase the new single via Bandcamp here.
