The second season of Nuts and Bolts, the podcast series focused on women in electronic music, comes to an end this week with Norwegian artist Maja S. K. Ratkje.

The episode, which you can check out via the embed just below, sees host Jessica Sligter meet the prolific performer, improviser and composer at her home in the Norwegian woods to discuss how technology is essential to her craft.

Over the course of the conversation, the pair discuss the play-off between leaving music production and performance to chance versus having complete control over it, while also touching on the use of oscillators, cassettes, tailor-made plugins and self-made contact microphones.
