Bristol Promoters Crowdfund For New Venue

The team behind Bristol club night Dirtytalk need help funding a vital new music and arts venue in the city

The team behind Dirtytalk, one of Bristol’s best-loved club nights, are currently crowdfunding for a new independent 330-capacity music and arts venue in the city.

The venue, which they plan to call Strange Brew, will act as a new music hub within Bristol offering a programme based around club nights, live music and exhibitions, while also housing a record shop and late night cafe-bar.

There’s just over a week to go until the crowdfunding campaign ends and the Dirtytalk team have raised just over £29,000 of their £45,000 target at the time of writing. The campaign statement explains that they have already secured an alcohol license and planning permission for the building in which they intend to open up the venue.

You can find more information on the promoters’ plans for the venue and just why Bristol needs a new independent venue here, where you can also contribute to the crowdfunding campaign. You can also find out more via the video above.
